Koreans are well known for their flawless skin and fit bodies, but have you ever wondered what makes them look like that? It is not just their genes; they are very strict about what they eat as well. They also keep a check on their lifestyle. They don’t have so much of fast food. Even their street food is full of nutrients barring a few! If you too want to try their diet and habits, scroll down and pick whatever you think is possible for you.
Vegetable Lovers
Koreans love their veges like no other. If you watch Korean dramas or films, you will notice that their meal spread has a lot of greens. They have a lot of kimchi as well, which is cabbage, acid , vinegar and spices. Their plates have spinach and bean sprouts and a lot of fish! Their meals are a complete package of healthy eating.
Walking
Koreans love walking. Most of them do not drive but walk till wherever they can. Their subways are the most used and when they have to travel miles, they opt for public transport like a bus. It is said that an average Korean walks a minimum of 10, 000 steps a day!
No Fast Food
From rice rolls to kimbap, Koreans eat a lot of healthy snacks when they crave for something nice. They do not order pizzas and burgers or any other fast food that you and I indulge in. If you get the chance to or have already been to Korea then you will or must have noticed that the fast-food joints as well keep more of healthy ingredients.
Desserts
Of course, they love sweets, but in moderation. For Koreans, sweets could also be some fruit. But most of the time, they have coffee post meals which suppresses their urge for sweets.
Seafood
A major factor behind their great hair, skin and health is their love for seafood. The most common dish there is seaweed which in India would be rare but there it is very common. They even have seaweed chips. Seaweed is rich in vitamins and minerals. It also acts as a natural ingredient replacing salt as it itself has a lot of it.
Tofu
Do you too make a face when having tofu? Well, Koreans do not and they lap up dishes like Sundubu Jjigae. It is tofu in the form of a stew served with fiery sauces. It is very popular there among vegetarians as it is full of proteins.

Ditch Soda
They don’t gorge on cokes and sodas but instead have a lot of tea. Try barley tea if you can as that is what they have a lot. It tastes weird but it is a sugarless tea which should be had cold. It has many health benefits. It improves your sleeping habits, helps with digestion and also works on your blood circulation.
Homemade Food

This is something I noticed in many Korean shows and live as well. I had a short stay in Korea and the people around me would mostly enjoy home-cooked meals. It is a great deal over there. They take their food seriously and never ignore meal times as we do.
No Bread
Yes, I did not see much of bread in their restaurants or in the stores there. Their carb is rice. Breads are processed so Koreans stay away from them, at least during meals.
Korean women and men are very fit and even while shopping, you and I will dig a burger after so much walking, but they are more for seafood on a stick. No, not everyone likes it raw so that is a myth. If you are hungry but not up for a proper meal then go for a stew or a soup. Those too are very healthy and perfect for mid hunger. The catch is that you need to develop a taste for their kind of food as we Indians thrive a lot on spices. Their spices would mostly be chillies, black bean paste, sesame oil, and garlic.
