French Beans are also known as snap beans or string beans. They are long slender and elongated pods that are harvested at an immature stage. French beans are widely consumed across the world and are a part of many cuisines.

French beans are rich in essential nutrients such as vitamins A, C, and K, as well as manganese, potassium and folate. These nutrients play an important role in maintaining health, including supporting immune function, bone health and blood clotting. Additionally, French beans are low in calories. Thus, it's a great vegetable option for those who are trying to lose weight (foods to avoid for gut health). French beans are also packed with antioxidants like flavonoids and carotenoids that neutralise harmful free radicals in our body, reducing the chances of chronic disease.
