We spoke to Dr. Aarati Patil (MD Ayurveda Gynecology), Chief Doctor, Co-Founder, and R&D Head at Gynoveda about this prevalent hormonal issue among women. She has suggested some of the ayurvedic herbs that have the potential to eliminate PCOS conditions and provide you with much-needed relief.
Kanchanar (Bauhinia variegata)
The first one that we have is Kanchanar which has cooling properties and helps in addressing imbalance in kapha and pitta. It works on various conditions such as krimi (parasites), kushta (skin disorders), thyroid disorders, and wounds. The dry and dry flowers of this herb address bleeding disorders, white discharge, emaciation, and cough.
Ashoka (Saraca indica)
Ashoka is another herb that was traditionally used in Indian culture to treat various health conditions. It has a bitter and cooling nature that eliminates toxins and enhances complexion. Moreover, it is also effective in treating bleeding and vaginal disorders.
Chitraka
Chitraka has numerous therapeutic uses which include balancing kapha, aiding in healthy weight management, and ensuring proper digestion (5 desi spices to improve gut health)and metabolism. Poor metabolism is one of the major symptoms of PCOS which can be managed using this herb.

Shilajit
Shilajit is one of the most-heard names when it comes to Indian herbs. It is widely consumed because of its various properties. It addresses kapha, fat, sugars, kidney stones, and various ailments such as urinary issues, asthma, anaemia, epilepsy, swelling, skin diseases, and worms.
