Competition from L2: Empuraan

Sikandar is expected to face stiff competition from Mohanlal's Malayalam action thriller, ‘L2: Empuraan,’ which is scheduled to release on March 27, just days before Sikandar's release. ‘L2: Empuraan’ has already sold over 4.5 lakh tickets, with a collection of ₹9.02 crore.

However, during a press conference in Delhi, Prithviraj Sukumaran, director of ‘L2: Empuraan,’ said that there is “no competition” among the two films. “Salman Khan is one of the biggest stars in the country, and there is no competition between the two movies. I hope it becomes a blockbuster… I will have no complaints if you watch L2: Empuraan at 11 am and Sikandar at 1 pm,” he added, as per a report by Hindustan Times.
