Jatadhara Box Office Collection Day 4: Sudheer Babu-Sonakshi Sinha Starrer Gains Momentum During The Weekend, Crosses ₹3 crore

Jatadhara, the supernatural thriller starring Sonakshi Sinha and Sudheer Babu, gained momentum during its opening weekend, accumulating over ₹3 crore in its modest run.

The bilingual supernatural thriller was off to a slow start at the box office, but managed to amass a total of ₹3.41 crore by Day 4.

Occupancy Rate of Jatadhara

The film saw its highest occupancy in the Telugu states. The maximum occupancy was recorded in Warangal (over 63%), followed by Kakinada (37%), and Hyderabad (14%).

The lowest occupancy rate was registered in cities like Chennai, Delhi NCR, and Nizamabad (0%). Overall, the Telugu occupancy during the morning shows stood at 13.62%.

Plot and Cast

Directed by Abhishek Jaiswal and Venkat Kalyan, Jatadhara delves into a historic legend about nobles who stored treasures using ancient rituals known as 'Bandanas'. Among these was the terrifying Pisachi Bandana, which released a dark, fearless spirit named Dhanapisachi (played by Sonakshi Sinha).

The story follows Shiva (played by Sudheer Babu), a pragmatic ghost hunter who encounters this age-old curse. He is forced to confront his beliefs upon discovering the full extent of the curse.

The supernatural fantasy thriller features an ensemble cast, including a special appearance by Divya Khossla, alongside Shilpa Shirodkar, Indira Krishna, Ravi Prakash, Naveen Neni, Rohit Pathak, Jhansi, Rajeev Kanakala, and Subhalekha Sudhakar.

The film's horrifying scenes, mixed with mythological undertones, have received appreciation from audiences.
