‘Border 2’ hit screens on January 23, 2026, amid heated anticipation and high hopes. The second instalment of the iconic 1997 war saga ‘Border’ rode heavily on nostalgia, its familiar patriotic framework, and the creative vision of director Anurag Singh and writer Jeetendra Jain. Led by Sunny Deol, alongside Diljit Dosanjh, the film largely lived up to expectations in its initial days and benefitted significantly from the Republic Day holiday weekend.
According to Sacnilk, ‘Border 2’ opened to an impressive ₹30 crore on Day 1, fuelled by strong audience demand and the extended Republic Day holiday window. The film maintained solid momentum over the first three days, collecting ₹36.5 crore on Saturday and surging to ₹54.5 crore on Sunday. The upward trend continued on Monday, when the film earned ₹59 crore, one of the strongest weekday collections seen in recent times.

As per Sacnilk estimates, ‘Border 2’ collected around ₹5.75 crore on Day 11 (second Monday), marking a steep drop of nearly 74% compared to Sunday. This figure stands as the film’s lowest Monday collection since release.

On Day 12 (second Tuesday), the film’s earnings dropped further to around ₹0.18 crore, indicating another sharp fall of nearly 70% from the previous day. Sacnilk has noted that this figure remains early or estimated, and the final numbers may vary.
That said, ‘Border 2’ had already secured a strong advantage early on. The film closed its first week with an impressive ₹224.25 crore net collection. Thanks to decent weekend jumps in its second week, the total India net collection now stands at approximately ₹281.18 crore.
Director Anurag Singh, with Sunny Deol at the forefront, has delivered a war drama that resonated strongly with both critics and audiences. While daily collections are expected to taper off further in the coming days, the film has already emerged as a major commercial success.
