You flip the monthly calendar and you know that your period is about to arrive. But what if it doesn't? Stress can be one of the reasons behind you not getting your period. Stress leads to a lot of changes in the body and they can negatively affect your menstrual cycle too. If you are stressing on something for a long time, there are chances that you didn't get your period because of it.

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a condition where ovulation doesn't take place. This hormonal disorder among women affects the ovaries and they are unable to release eggs. This can also be a reason why you missed your period.
Contraceptive Pills

Contraceptive pills can be really harmful to some extent. They do make you miss the ovulation and this can be a reason why you don't get your periods. While some women do get their normal period after consuming these pills, other do face it negatively and don't get their periods.
Intense Workouts
If you are a gym freak and you have been doing it way too intensely for long then it can be a reason behind you missing your period. People who work continuously on their bodies do face this and this can also indicate that your body isn't capable to take it and it needs rest for sometime.
Weight Gain or Loss

Another unusual reason for missing your period can be putting on too much weight or losing too much of it. Changes in weight can lead to changes in the estrogen levels of your body and this can delay your period cycle.
