Human body is up to 70% of water which means your body needs water to survive. About 75% of the brain is water which means that dehydration, even as small as 2%, can have a negative effect on brain functions. Every cell, organ, body part needs water to work properly. You need to understand the daily water requirement of water in your body and consume it accordingly. Apart from this, You need to know the fact the food we eat, the body is able to digest that food because of water in body. Food that consist water in itself helps in digesting and keeps the health better.
If you don't drink enough water you will realise you eat more or you feel more hunger. Most of the people can't distinguish the difference between thirst and hunger. They tend to eat something while they are just thirsty. This is also one of the major reasons for weight gain. Try drinking water or any other drink instead of eating every other hour. You will feel full.

Every day we lose water through your breath, sweat, urine, and bowel movements. Your activity level matters a lot in how much your body needs water. People who do a lot more physical work in their day needs more water. People who do lots of strength training their body needs more water comparatively to keep their muscles hydrated. Apart from physical activity climate also matters. In summers, we sweat more and need more water. So it might vary from person to person. Just keep in mind those important point and keep drinking because there is no harm in drinking extra water. It won't be harmful. This is something the more you drink more you benefit.
