Shilpa Shetty is an ardent yoga lover. Recently, she took to her Instagram to share a video in which she can be seen doing peacock pose like a pro and stressed on it's importance.

Shilpa Shetty is one of the fittest celebrities in Bollywood and her love for yoga is no longer a secret. The actress, who can give any actress a run for the money, often shares fitness videos and photos on her Instagram.

Recently, Shilpa took to her Instagram to share a video in which she can be seen performing Mayurasana (also known as Peacock pose in English) with utter perfection. Being a yoga fanatic, the actress is seen acing this yoga posture so effortlessly that anyone would want to try it. Along with the video, Shilpa also penned down a note about its importance. "It is an advanced Yoga asana that improves digestion and focus. It also enhances wrist flexibility and blood circulation, while strengthening the arms. When you can start balancing your entire body weight on your palms, it helps build your self-confidence too!", she wrote. Watch the video below:

How To Do Mayurasana/ Peacock Pose

  • Kneel on the floor with knees apart.
  • Lean forward and press your palms on the floor with your fingers turned backward, or towards your body.
  • Slightly bend your elbows and make sure your forearms touch each other.
  • Straighten your knees and stretch your legs out and make sure your toes are touching the ground.
  • Tighten your buttocks, raise your heads, shift your body weight on your arms and try to lift your legs off the floor.
  • Try to maintain your balance and hold this position for at least 10 seconds.
  • After 10 seconds, return to the initial position.
