One of the most awaited times of the year, Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine is all set to open for its devotees on June 29, 2024. The yatra will go on till August 19, 2024. The advance registration begins today, April 15, 2024, as announced by the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board.

Step 1: Visit the official website jksasb.nic.in for registration.
Step 2: Click on ‘Register’ on the web page.
Step 3: Thoroughly go through the ‘Dos and Don’ts’ instructions before clicking on the ‘I Agree’ option.
Step 4: Fill in your details - name and phone number - in the given space.
Step 5: Upload your valid ID proof, photograph, and medical certificate.
Step 6: Submit the registration form, download the file, and take a printout.
Step 7: Save the Yatra Permit in your phone for future reference.
How To Reach Amarnath?
The journey to Lord Shiva’s abode in Kashmir, Amarnath, has become easier with the help of well-maintained roads, airports, and railways. Here’s how you can reach the pilgrimage according to your preferred method of travelling.
Roadways
Amarnath does not have well-connected roads, therefore, you need to board a bus to Jammu, then take a bus or cab to Srinagar to further reach either Pahalgam or Baltal from where you need to trek for 2-3 days.
Railways
Jammu Railway Station, which is 178 km away, is the closest to Amarnath. From there you need to board a cab to reach Pahalgam or Baltal.
Airways
At a distance of about 70 km, the Srinagar Airport is the closest to Amarnath. From there you need to take a cab or bus to reach Pahalgam or Baltal to start your trek.
