
The India AI Impact Summit 2026 is officially underway in New Delhi, bringing together global technology leaders, policymakers, researchers and start-ups for five days of discussions, exhibitions and policy announcements. Running from February 16 to 20, the summit is hosting over 500 events across four major venues, with more than 840 exhibitors participating.
This marks the fourth edition of the global AI Summit series. Previous editions were held in the UK, Seoul and Paris, but this is the first time the event is being organised in the Global South. The summit revolves around three core principles, People, Planet and Progress, focusing on inclusive, sustainable and responsible development of artificial intelligence.

Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi will serve as the primary venue, hosting the AI Impact Expo and the main plenary sessions. The Expo will run across all five days at the Bharat Mandapam Exhibition Halls and will cover more than 70,000 square metres.
Events will also take place at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan, Vigyan Bhawan and Dr Ambedkar Bhawan.
The Expo is structured around seven thematic ‘Chakras’:
National delegations, AI start-ups, major technology companies and research laboratories will showcase their work across these zones.

Once you complete the process, you will receive a confirmation email. A follow-up email will include a QR code and event guidelines. You must carry this QR code along with a valid ID proof to access Bharat Mandapam and other venues.

There are no registration fees or participation charges for the India AI Impact Summit 2026. Entry is free for registered delegates.
Several high-profile global leaders from the technology and AI ecosystem are expected to attend.
The summit opens with keynote speeches, policy discussions and expert roundtables. The AI Expo will be formally inaugurated.
Panel discussions continue. The Knowledge Compendiums will be launched, featuring casebooks on AI in Health, Energy, Education, Agriculture, Gender Empowerment and Disabilities. A seminar on Applied AI is also scheduled.

The Research Symposium takes centre stage, with IIIT Hyderabad serving as the knowledge partner. Academics, think tanks and Global South researchers will present their latest findings. Industry sessions will follow, and the finalists of the AI by HER – Global Impact Challenge are expected to demonstrate their solutions. A Summit Dinner is planned at Bharat Mandapam, though access details remain unclear.

The formal summit begins with an invite-only inauguration ceremony led by Narendra Modi at the Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre. A Leaders’ Plenary and CEO Roundtable will follow. While access to these sessions is restricted, registered delegates can visit the Expo Arena from 11 am to 6 pm.
GPAI Council members will meet to align on responsible AI priorities. A Leaders’ Declaration is expected to be adopted. India is reportedly advocating for a trusted AI commons and a global governance framework.
