The much-awaited National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has rolled out full commercial operations of the Delhi–Meerut Namo Bharat Metro, connecting Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Modipuram in Uttar Pradesh. This high-speed corridor marks India’s first fully operational Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), designed to drastically cut travel time between Delhi and Meerut.
Spanning around 82 kilometres, the train completes the journey in under an hour, making it a practical option for daily commuters, office-goers, and business travellers. With modern coaches, airport-style stations and improved last-mile connectivity, the Namo Bharat Metro aims to transform regional travel across the National Capital Region.

The Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat Metro follows a distance-based fare structure, making it affordable for both short and long journeys.
The pricing model has been designed to benefit regular commuters. One of the biggest advantages is the integrated ticket system, which allows passengers to switch between Namo Bharat services and the Meerut Metro city section using a single ticket.
