Holi Special Trains 2026: 186 Extra Trains, Full Routes, Timings and More

With passengers pouring in for Holi celebrations, Central Railway has a wide strategy in place to cope with the rush. For Holi in 2026, the region will operate 186 additional special trains, increasing connectivity from Mumbai and Pune to prominent destinations in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and other places.

Of the 186 services, 94 will be Holi Specials and 92 will be other special services. The train schedule includes daily, weekly, and bi-weekly trains from February 21 to March 10, 2026.

Below are the complete route-wise details, including train numbers, dates, halts, and coach compositions.

Holi Special Trains 2026: CSMT – Nagpur – CSMT Bi-Weekly Specials (10 Services)

• Train 02141 departs CSMT every Sunday and Tuesday at 00:20 hrs from 22 February to 8 March, reaching Nagpur at 15:10 hrs the same day.
• Train 02142 leaves Nagpur at 20:00 hrs on the same day, arriving at CSMT at 13:30 hrs the following day.
• Special Trains: February 22 and 24, 2026 (4 services)
• Holi Specials: March 1, 3, and 8, 2026 (6 services)
• Composition: 1 AC 2-Tier, 6 AC 3-Tier, 9 Sleeper, 4 General Second Class, 2 Guard brake vans
• Halts: Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Nashik Road, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Murtizapur, Badnera, Dhamangaon, Wardha

Holi Special Trains 2026: CSMT – Sawantwadi Road – CSMT Weekly Specials (4 Services)

• 01171 leaves CSMT Thursdays at 00:20 hrs (Feb 26, March 5, 2026), arriving 12:30 hrs.
• 01172 departs Sawantwadi Road at 17:20 hrs, reaching CSMT at 03:45 hrs next day.
• Key halts include Panvel, Roha, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and Kudal

Holi Special Trains 2026: CSMT – Gorakhpur – CSMT Daily Specials (32 Services)

• 01079 departs CSMT daily at 22:30 hrs (Feb 21–March 8, 2026), arriving Gorakhpur on the third day at 10:00 hrs.
• 01080 leaves Gorakhpur at 14:30 hrs (23 Feb–10 March), reaching CSMT at 00:40 hrs on the third day.

• 01073 departs LTT Wednesdays and Thursdays at 12:15 hrs (Feb 25, 26 and March 4, 5, 2026), reaching Banaras at 01:10 hrs on the third day.
• 01074 returns Fridays and Saturdays at 06:35 hrs.

3. Halts include Daund, Ahilyanagar, Manmad, Jalgaon, Akola and Wardha.

Holi Special Trains 2026: Pune – Gorakhpur Daily Specials (32 Services)

• 01415/01416 run daily from Feb 21 to March 9, 2026.

Holi Special Trains 2026: Pune – Hazrat Nizamuddin Weekly Specials (4 Services)

• 01491/01492 operate on select Fridays and Saturdays (Feb 27–March 7, 2026).
• Halts include Lonavala, Vasai Road, Surat, Vadodara, Kota, Bharatpur and Mathura.

Central Railway is increasing its efforts to reduce peak season passenger congestion by integrating night services, frequent day services, and air-conditioned special services. The aim is to provide a smoother journey experience during one of India’s busiest festival seasons. Passengers are advised to book in advance and monitor railway announcements for the latest updates.
