In an exclusive interview with Arnab Goswami, co-founder of Republic TV, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra David Fadnavis shared an update on Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. According to reports, he died by suicide, but his fans and investigative authorities believe there was something fishy in the case.
Since the investigations went on for a long time, the case was handed over to the Crime Bureau of Investigation (CBI). However, we are yet to hear from authorities about the final verdict in the case.

During the interview, Goswami asked the politician about the progress of SSR and Disha Salian’s case. The journalist said he believed that there was a connection between the death of the actor and his manager Salian. Reportedly, Salian also died by suicide a few weeks before SSR’s case came into the limelight.
Fadnavis said that the initial information that the police and investigative authorities received was based on hearsay. A few people also came forward claiming they were in the custody of ‘concrete’ proofs. Therefore, the authorities asked them to submit whatever evidence they claimed they had.
The politician also highlighted that another big aspect of the investigation is establishing the credibility of evidence and people claiming to be in possession of them.
The journalist asked the politician if the investigative team had received any suspicious evidence or if it was an ‘open and shut case’. Fadnavis said that it was premature for him to comment, however, he assured that the investigation was progressing. He said that he would make any revelations when the time would be right.

Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case

On June 14, 2020, the news of Sushant Singh Rajput dying by suicide in his rented apartment in Mumbai shocked his fans. He was among a few Bollywood actors who used to share his ambitions and dreams on social media.
The post-mortem report pointed to the fact that the actor died by suicide. A panel of doctors working at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) was formed to investigate the primary evidence and they ruled out murder in October 2020.
The case has been making rounds on the internet for three years now. Several theories have come forward claiming that the actor did not die by suicide but was murdered.
Reportedly SSR and actor Rhea Chakraborty were dating when it all happened. It was claimed that somehow she was involved in the foul play that led to SSR’s demise. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) got involved in the case and arrested Chakraborty in September 2020. However, she was released after 28 days when no substantial evidence was found against her.
Sushant’s last post on Instagram was about his mother. His caption read, “Blurred past evaporating from teardrops, Unending dreams carving an arc of a smile, And a fleeting life, negotiating between the two… Maa.”
