A disturbing incident from Bhopal has raised widespread concern after two sisters were arrested for allegedly deceiving vulnerable women with promises of employment and forcing them into sexual exploitation. The case, which also involves serious allegations of intimidation and religious conversion, is currently under police investigation.
The two sisters, Afreen and Amreen, were arrested along with their accomplice, Chandan Yadav. The three other accused, Bilal, Chanu, and Yasir, are said to be on the run. The sisters were arrested after two women filed complaints at the Bagh Sewania police station, with both complaints remarkably similar.

Afreen and Amreen, sisters who were believed to be living in a simple house in Abbas Nagar, have recently shifted to a luxurious villa in Sagar Royal Villas. This drastic change in their lifestyle has raised many eyebrows and questions about how their financial situation changed so drastically.
Amreen, the elder sister, has been labeled as the prime accused, with Afreen allegedly being involved in the running of the show. The police believe that their luxurious lifestyle may be supported by illicit activities involving women from poorer backgrounds.
Their financial transactions, messages, and travel history are being analysed to see if the racket was operating in other cities as well.

According to the police reports, the sisters targeted women who were struggling financially. They allegedly offered the women a job as a domestic helper or beautician with a monthly salary of ₹10,000, along with free meals and accommodation. Victims were also promised exposure to a ‘high-profile lifestyle’.
However, after the recruitment, the situation reportedly changed completely. For instance, a 21-year-old beautician from Chhattisgarh, a complainant, alleges that someone brought her to Ahmedabad in December 2025 with a job offer. Instead, she claims someone sexually abused her and threatened her to keep quiet. Another complainant, a 32-year-old domestic worker at Amreen's house, says a male acquaintance raped her after they abandoned her at a relative's place.
Both women allege they were made to attend parties, pubs and private parties where they were 'made to socialise' with wealthy men. The women said they were given alcohol, photographed in a vulnerable position and subsequently blackmailed.

Among the most serious allegations in the case is that of religious conversion. According to the FIR, a survivor was forced to change her religion and was asked to follow certain religious obligations, such as wearing a burqa and praying.
Charges have been filed for rape, criminal intimidation, and religious conversion. It is also being investigated whether the accused are part of an interstate network, as the victims have alleged that they were taken to other places, including Gujarat and Mumbai.
Authorities seized the accused's mobile phones and reportedly discovered suspicious messaging groups containing photographs of multiple women. Investigators continue the investigation, and further arrests may follow.
This case once again highlights how people use fake job offers to exploit vulnerable individuals, particularly women from disadvantaged backgrounds. Police urge citizens to carefully verify employment offers and immediately report suspicious activity.
