5 Simple Steps To Prevent Dengue Infection

Here are a few steps you can consider to safeguard yourself from Dengue fever:

Prevent Mosquito Habitat

Dr Chattopadhyay highlighted that Dengue is a tropical, non-communicable disease caused by the bite of the ‘Aedes aegypti’ mosquito, which thrives in waterlogged areas, especially during the rainy season. “It’s a common misconception that dengue mosquitoes only breed outdoors; they can also breed indoors in places like flower vases, kitchen gardens, and garages with stagnant water,” added Dr Chattopadhyay. To prevent dengue, it’s crucial to eliminate standing water; both inside and outside homes.
