‘The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond’ has completed five days at the box office, and the figures suggest a decent run for the movie so far. Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, the movie hit the screens on February 27, 2026, after facing legal challenges.
While the sequel arrived with expectations riding on the controversial legacy of its predecessor, it has not managed to recreate the same buzz among audiences. The collections reflect a decent weekend performance followed by a predictable weekday drop.
An early estimate of Sacnilk has the five-day cross-over collection of the film around ₹12.83 crore (India net).
On day 5 (first Tuesday), ‘The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond’ faced a significant decline on the earning front. According to the Sacnilk report, the film managed to gross approximately ₹0.03 crore. The figures are derived from live tracking data along with partial bookings till 10:00 pm, which may be subject to minor change.
On Day 4 (first Monday), the film collected roughly ₹2.65 Crore (rough estimate) as per the Sacnilk report. This marked a drop of around 44.21% compared to Sunday’s collection.

The film's release also sparked controversy. A petition was filed in the Kerala High Court after the Central Board of Film Certification approved it. A single-judge bench then halted the release. However, a division bench of the High Court lifted the stay on the release day, and the film came out as scheduled.
The film again made headlines because people claimed it misrepresented Kerala and contained issues of communal sensitivity. Despite all its legal troubles, the second part did not generate the widespread anticipation that the first one did.
‘The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond’ stars Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia, Aishwarya Ojha, Sumit Gahlawat and Arjan Singh Aujla in the lead roles.
