Suicide, is it only the last resort in case anything goes wrong in life? On Monday, February 23, 2026, Bonu Komali, a 21-year-old BSc student and YouTuber, ends her life, sharing a last message with her mother. She was found dead at her rented home in Telangana's Hyderabad.

Who was Bonu Komali?

Bonu Komali was a young BSc student and part-time YouTuber from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. She was living alone in Hyderabad for around 11 months to pursue her higher studies and create lifestyle content for her YouTube.

What was Bonu Komali's Last Message to her Mother?

According to the investigations, B. Satya Varalakshmi, Bonu's mother, received a message on her phone at 1:34 am on Monday. Bonu texted, "I love you mummy so much. Jagratha. Thammudini baaga chusuko" (I love you mummy so much. Be careful. Take good care of my younger brother).

Bonu's mother works as a babysitter in Kuwait, and after reading the message, she tried calling her, but her phone was switched off. She later alerted a friend, who visited the flat in the afternoon and found her body hanging from the ceiling fan.

Bonu Komali Suicide Case Investigation

Initial investigation by the Raidugram police revealed that the suicide was due to extreme emotional distress due to a 'prolonged relationship dispute' with a fellow 27-year-old YouTuber and software engineer. The couple broke up after three years of relationship, which is considered a potential cause of her death. Police further mentioned that Bonu had attempted suicide six months ago due to the same relationship distress.
