According to a recent report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp v2.25.1.26 beta for Android is introducing a new ‘AIs’ tab, replacing the previous ‘Communities’ tab. This feature is similar to Meta’s AI Studio tool for Instagram, allowing users to create custom AI chatbots with personalised traits.
For instance, users will be able to design AI chatbots made to assist with tasks like productivity, offer personalised support, provide motivational boosts during workouts, or keep users updated with the latest news. While AI chatbots have been available on WhatsApp before, this new ability to create unique, personalised chatbots opens up more possibilities. Each AI character will have its own distinct traits, which will likely differ from those created by other users, offering a more customised experience.
