In terms of aesthetics, Apple is reportedly making its biggest design shift since the iPhone X. Based on CAD renders, leaks, and dummy unit photos circulating online, the iPhone 17 Pro will feature a radically new camera module. Instead of the familiar square layout, the rear cameras are said to be housed in a wide, rectangular bump that stretches across the phone’s back, which is quite similar to the Pixel 9 Pro’s setup, but possibly even larger.
In comparison, the iPhone 16 Pro sticks with Apple’s signature square-shaped camera housing, which has remained largely unchanged for the last few generations. While the position of the lenses themselves may not vary significantly between the two, the overall layout will give the 17 Pro a distinctly new look.
