Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor's latest romantic comedy ‘Param Sundari’ has crossed the Rs 30 crore milestone at the domestic box office, despite experiencing a significant drop on its first Monday. The cross-cultural love story, directed by Tushar Jalota, managed to maintain momentum during its opening weekend before facing the typical weekday challenge.

The film opened strongly on Friday with Rs 7.25 crore and showed impressive growth over the weekend. Saturday collections jumped to Rs 9.25 crore, marking a 27.59% increase, while Sunday maintained the upward trend with Rs 10.25 crore, adding another 10.81% to the tally.

However, Monday brought the expected reality check as collections dropped dramatically to Rs 3.25 crore, representing a steep 68.29% decline from Sunday's numbers.

Param Sundari Story

‘Param Sundari’ tells the story of Param, played by Malhotra, a carefree Delhi-based young man from a wealthy background. His character invests his father's money in various startups while searching for his next big venture.

The plot takes an interesting turn when Param discovers ‘Soulmates,’ an AI-powered dating application that claims to find perfect romantic matches. Skeptical yet curious, he decides to test the app to prove a point to his father.

The AI app matches Param with Thekkepattu Sundari Damodharan Pillai, Kapoor's character, a South Indian woman from Kerala. Sundari runs her family's ancestral Tharavad as a homestay business alongside her uncle Bhargavan Nair, who practices the traditional martial art Kalari Payattu.
