Indian cinema has always been known for its romantic stories and the trope of long parted lovers reuniting after many years is a classic theme that has been explored in numerous films. The struggles, obstacles, and the eventual triumph of love, are something that intrigues the Indian audience.
While we love some of the classic Hollywood films based on this theme including Blue Jay, Before Sunset and Casablanca, among others, our Indian filmmakers have also delivered the same time and again with their heartwarming and emotional portrayals of this theme. Among many such, these four films have touched the hearts of audiences and have become timeless classics.
