The much-anticipated political drama ‘Game Changer,’ starring Ram Charan and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Shankar, has experienced a significant decline in box office collections following its worldwide release on January 10, 2024. According to the latest report from industry tracker Sacnilk, the film's performance has fallen short of initial expectations despite a strong opening.
Game Changer Box Office Collection Day 4
The film opened with an impressive ₹51 crore on its first day, marking a promising start for the year's first major release. However, subsequent days have witnessed a steady decline in collections. Sacnilk's data reveals that Saturday's earnings dropped ₹21.6 crore, representing a 57.65% decrease from the opening day figures.
The downward trend continued through the weekend, with Sunday's collections further declining to ₹17 crore. The most dramatic drop came on Monday (Day 4), with early reports indicating collections of merely ₹0.48 crore, marking a 66.67% decline from the previous day.
Although ‘Game Changer’ showed promising numbers during its first day, its performance in subsequent days has raised questions about its sustainability. Despite the sharp decline in collections over the weekend, the film is inching closer to the ₹100 crore mark in total earnings. If the trend continues, it will likely cross this milestone in the coming days.

‘Game Changer’ marks the first collaboration between Ram Charan and director Shankar, who returns to filmmaking after the disappointing performance of ‘Indian 2’ starring Kamal Hassan. The narrative centres on an IAS officer's crusade against political corruption, including a confrontation with a Chief Minister who destroyed his father's vision of a corruption-free India.
Apart from Ram Charan in the lead role, the film also stars Kiara Advani, SJ Suryah, Brahmanandam, Nassar, Vennela Kishore, and Murali Sharma in pivotal roles, all contributing to the film’s high-profile cast.
