Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Emergency’ has been witnessing a decline since its second week. Although the movie gained some momentum on February 1, 2025, it now seems to be plummeting. Despite being in theatres for 16 days, the movie has managed to gross around Rs 17.64 crore only, as per the industry tracker website Sacnilk. Kangana Ranaut’s political drama saw a decent opening but it failed to bring the audience to the theatre. According to the industry tracker website Sacnilk, the movie managed to earn only Rs 20 lakhs on Saturday. The movie had an overall Hindi occupancy of 11.91% on Saturday, day 16. The movie saw a significant decline in its second week with a total earning of Rs 3.18 crore. As per Sacnilk, the movie earned a total of Rs 17.78 crore at the domestic box office till 16 days of run in theatres. The worldwide collection of the movie stands at Rs 2.08 Crore gross.

Kangana Ranaut’s starrer political drama Emergency is based on former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s most controversial decision. The movie centres on the Emergency period rom 1975-77- a phase which is often remembered as one of the darkest in the country’s history. Though the movie focuses on a political event, it’s not entirely a political film. Apart from Kangana, the movie features Milind Soman as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, Anupam Kher as Jayaprakash Narayan, and Shreyas Talpade as Atal Bihari Bajpayee.
