22 years of ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’: It has been more than two decades since the release of the Karan Johar iconic directorial venture, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’. Released in the year 2001 on this date, 14 December; the movie was a massive and one of its kind multi-starrer back in those days.
Karan Johar had managed to get Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor together under Dharma Production’s banner for the film. It was the right mix of all the ingredients for a blockbuster hit movie, with elements of emotions, drama, romance, Bollywood style song and dance, and the grand ‘It’s all about family’ tagline that made it a win-win combination.
As the film marks 22 glorious years today, on 14 December, B-town actor Kajol took to social media to share her memories from the making of the movie with her fans, audiences and the netizens.
Kajol had played the role of ‘Anjali’ from Chandni Chowk who had a romantic relationship with ‘Rahul Raichand’ from Delhi’s prestigious and rich family, played by Shah Rukh Khan. When their affections are not accepted by Rahul’s prim and proper family, they separate from their loved ones with a broken heart and start their own little family in London, United Kingdom. Years later, ‘Rohan Raichand’, Rahul’s younger brother essayed by Hrithik Roshan sets out to reunite the torn apart family.
