The sacred Islamic month of Ramadan includes fasting activities. According to experts, there are multiple health advantages that can be attained through mindful practice. Additionally, fasting decreases cholesterol, blood pressure, and blood sugar, thus lowering the risk of heart disease. Fasting can enhance blood flow and lead to cardiovascular health.
According to Dr Shreedhar, most people experience enhanced mental clarity and concentration during Ramadan. The process of fasting reduces the body's level of sugar swings, which might enhance cognitive functioning.
