Buttermilk
This delicious summer drink does not go well with your lunch and dinner but is also great to have on its own. It contains probiotics, proteins, and vitamins that replenish your body temperature.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of yogurt
- A glass of water
- A pinch of salt
- A pinch of cumin powder
Process
- Blend the yogurt with water.
- Now add salt and cumin powder in it. Mix well.
- Pour it in glass and serve.
Onion Juice
As per Ayurveda, this should be the first thing you should have when you witness the symptoms of heat stroke.

Process
- There are two ways to use onion juice for heat stroke.
- Apply onion juice behind the ears, under the feet, and on your chest. Leave it on.
- You can also drink a teaspoon of onion juice with a teaspoon of honey.
Tamarind Juice
Tamarind is rich in vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes.
Ingredients
- Few tamarind pieces
- 1 ½ glasses of water
- A pinch of sugar or honey
Process
- Boil the tamarind for a few minutes.
- Strain this liquid and add sugar of honey for taste.
- Drink this herbal concoction once it has cooled down.
Essential Oils
Lavender oil is soothing on the sunburnt skin and also for the nerves. Peppermint oil exerts a cooling effect on the body and helps to lower the increased body temperature.
Ingredients
- 2-3 drops of peppermint oil
- 1-2 drops of lavender oil
- 2 tablespoon olive oil or almond oil
Process
- Mix peppermint and lavender oil with a carrier oil.
- Apply this mixture on the back of your neck, on your soles and inside your wrists.
Coriander Water
Coriander drink is an excellent way to deal with a heat stroke. It cools down your body and also helps you to get rid of nausea and vomiting.
Ingredients
- A bunch of coriander
- A pinch of sugar
Process
- Extract coriander juice by blending the leaves with some water.
- Add some sugar in it and mix well.
- Cool it in the refrigerator for a few minutes and drink it.
Sandalwood Paste
Sandalwood brings down the body temperature with its cooling properties.
Ingredients
- 3-4 tablespoons sandalwood powder
- Water
Process
- Make a thin paste with the sandalwood powder
- Apply this on the forehead and chest. Leave it for an hour.
Tulsi Seeds And Fennel Seeds
A concoction of Tulsi seeds mixed in some rose water will instantly cool your system.

- Tulsi seeds
- Fennel seeds
- 1 glass of water
Process
- Soak a handful of the seeds overnight in water.
