Recently, actor Bhumi Pednekar took to Instagram to tell her fans that she was in a hospital recovering from dengue fever. “Ek Dengue ke machar ne, mujhe 8 din ka massive torture de diya. But today I woke up feeling like a WOW, so I had to click a selfie,” she captioned the image.
The outbreak of dengue is quite common during the monsoon season, but if your surroundings witness water logging quite often, you are more vulnerable to being bitten by the mosquito.

The actor urged her fans in the caption to be careful, and the last few days have been ‘extremely tough’ for her and her family. “Mosquito repellents are a must right now. Keep your immunity up.”
Pednekar also added that high pollution levels in many cities in India have been compromising the immunity of people living there. The actor also shared that a few people she knows got recently bitten by a mosquito and suffered from the symptoms of the viral disease. “Yet again ek invisible virus ne halat kharab kar di,” she added.
She also thanked her doctors and nurses who helped her recover from the disease and took care of her in this difficult time. “Big shout out to the nursing, kitchen, and cleaning staff that were so kind and helpful.” She also appreciated her family members who stood by her side and took care of her while she was ill.
