Lakme Fashion Week Day 2: Parul Gulati Stuns Festive Ensemble Courtesy Swati Vijaivargie's 'Gulaal' Showcase

 ‘Girls Hostel’ fame actor and ‘Nish Hair’ founder Parul Gulati dazzled the runway for couturier Swati Vijaivargie’s collection entitled ‘Gulaal’. The ensemble gave off major festive outfit inspiration, take notes girls!

POW – Bandi Yuddh Ke’ and ‘Haq Se’ actor Parul Gulati who also runs a hair extensions label called ‘Nish Hair’ turned showstopper for Swati Vijayvargie on day two at Lakme Fashion Week 2023.

Parul exuded festive and wedding outfit vibes as she strutted out in a signature ‘ghagra choli ensemble’ from the label. Trust us when we say this, the look was everything dreams are made of when it comes to ‘festive ready outfits’. Hence, all the fashion frenzy girls in town can take notes and maybe channel their inner ‘bajaran’ next time they have to doll up for a Navratri dandiya night or a Diwali cards party.

According to reports by ANI, post the show the ‘Zorawar’ actor was quoted saying, “It was my first time walking for the Lakme Fashion Week’, it was great and I am honoured.”

She further commented on the collection saying, “Indian festivals are all about collection and what I liked is that it is not itchy and is so comfortable. It matches my style. I like the fabric and the prints because they are beautiful and classic.”

The designer Swati commented on the collection saying, “This collection is ‘Gulal’. As you can see there is a blast of colours. Basically, I am from Rajasthan and I love playing with colours on different fabrics like silk, chanderi and all. You can find different embroidery and prints.”

The collection has grabbed quite a few eyeballs since it was seen on the runway. Filled with a myriad of bright Indian colours, rich patterns, textures, hand crafted embroidery, signature Indian handlooms and more, the collection gets its influence from the ‘Banjara culture’ of Rajasthan.
