The designer par excellence, Tarun Tahiliani gave the grandest finale to day one of Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI. He showcased not one or two but a whopping eighty three handcrafted ready to wear pret couture collection pieces. True to his signature style Tahiliani went for signature silhouettes that embraced a whole new colour palette amidst which, hues of teal were a standout.

Couturier, Tarun Tahiliani showcased his signature collection called ‘A Celebration of Self-Expression’ which was a celebration of the festive season and its spirit with pret couture ready to wear pieces.

Tarun Tahiliani’s collection saw a mix of new age classics that gave the audience a show of fashion and inspiration all in one. The presence of exquisite Madhubani painting style flora and fauna motifs, abstract geometric prints, art decor style pieces and outstanding bold designs gave the audience a taste of new world meets an old traditional world.
The collection had a variety of styles including Indo-western fusion pieces that were the perfect fit for the modern Indian woman. Lots of draped sarees, grand lehengas, co-ord sets, corset style blouses, jumpsuits, sharara sets, handwork laden dupattas, larger-than-life gowns, gillets and much more made the collection a bouquet of something fit for everyone this festive season.
