The Lakme Fashion Week was kicked off with a bang with ace design label, ‘Raw Mango’ showcasing their ‘Children of the Night’ collection. Originating from the couturier Sanjay Garg’s excellence and prowess, this collection was defined by shattering definitions and giving the celebration of fashion centerstage.
Raw Mango has returned back to the runway post having an 8-year long hiatus. Sanjay Garg’s label was last seen in action during fashion week in 2015, post which he showcased a physical - digital collection in the year 2020 which saw ‘Mashru’ silk grab all the limelight as the basis of the line.

Sanjay Garg’s ‘Children of the Night’ collection is a bouquet of forty nine collected ensembles that have embraced the festive sparkle in all its silhouettes. The collection boasts of a sense of playfulness with each ensemble telling a different story.
What’s more, Raw Mango’s signature gold and green hues are combined with pinks, metallics and yellow tones. Top this with the avant-garde style theatrical presentation that blended like a dream with the prints in the collection. Loads of voluminous silhouette laden pieces came together with unconventional structures and patterns that revealed the genius Sanjay truly is.

His collection had an element of disco and handloom come together for the designer who is a self confessed fan of disco and had it expressed in the runway choreography for the evening.
