Here are the natural drinks that you can consume for relief:

Ginger Tea

Dr Mannan highlighted that ginger is a natural anti-inflammatory that can help reduce prostaglandins, the compounds responsible for pain and uterine contractions during menstruation.

Steps To Make:
Grate 1–2 inches of fresh ginger.
Boil it in a cup of water for 5–10 minutes.
Strain the liquid and add a teaspoon of honey for sweetness.

You can consume 1–2 cups daily during your period.

Chamomile Tea

According to Mannan, chamomile is known for its calming effects. It contains anti-inflammatory compounds that relax uterine muscles and help reduce menstrual cramps.

Steps To Make:
Steep a chamomile tea bag or dried chamomile flowers in hot water for 5 minutes.
Add a squeeze of lemon or a teaspoon of honey for flavour.

You can consume it twice a day, especially before bedtime.
