Cinnamons are widely known for their strong yet mild flavour. The sweet-smelling ingredient is great for our health as it helps regulate diabetes, blood pressure and cholesterol, reduces inflammation and is full of antioxidants. Cinnamons have anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties which directly attack an insect’s nervous system. However, it is harmless to us.
Here are some of the insects that cannot survive in the presence of cinnamon.
Ants
A very commonly spotted insect in a house is an ant. Ants are attracted to food, especially the sweet-tasting ones. If you leave any found item even a little uncovered, there are chances of a group of ants attacking it. Sprinkle some cinnamon powder on areas where you are likely to find ants and watch them stay away.
Slugs
The squeamish slugs love to eat everything. You can find them munching on your fruits and crisps too. They are one of the most unwanted insects in a house. To get rid of them, you can put some cinnamon powder or cinnamon oil in places where they can be found. Since they cannot stand the smell, your home will be a slug-free zone.

Cockroach
