1. Song Joong ki Didn't Aspire To Be An Actor At First 

Song Joong ki revealed that, in addition to wanting to be an actor, his early goals included being a diplomat and working for a broadcast company in an interview with KBS' Star Date in 2013. According to a letter from his high school teacher that was made public on a show revealed that he also aspired to be a news anchor. He further said that he previously received an invitation from an entertainment agency to be a trainee with an idol who is said to be now highly successful. 

2. Song Joong ki Is A Skilled Speed Skater 

Song Joong ki was an outstanding speed skater before he became an actor. He started skating when he was a young child and eventually joined the national speed skating team of South Korea. He participated in several international competitions and even took home a gold medal in 2005 at the East Asian Games.

Later Song Joong ki finally chose to take a different professional route.  He left the national team and enrolled at Konkuk University to study business administration. He decided to pursue acting as a career after discovering his passion for it while studying college.

In a 2016 interview with KBS1TV’s flagship newscast News9 that, ‘The reason is simple. I’m not tech-savvy at all. I don’t use [social media] because I’m not good at it. I don’t know how to use it.’
