In a rare social media appearance, veteran actress Simi Garewal has paid a touching tribute to industrialist Ratan Tata, who passed away on Wednesday night in Mumbai at the age of 86.

Simi Garewal has spoken fondly about Ratan Tata in past interviews. In a 2011 interview with the Times of India, she described Tata as "perfection," praising his sense of humour and modesty.

"Many times I feel lonely due to not having a wife or family, and sometimes I yearn for it," he confessed. "Sometimes I enjoy the freedom of not worrying about anyone else's feelings or anyone else's worries. On the other hand, at times, it gets a little lonely."
