On January 16, 2025, Saif Ali Khan was attacked in his Mumbai residence in Bandra. He was attacked in the middle of the night around 2:30 AM. The intruder broke into his home with the intention of theft, but he was confronted by the actor. The actor and the intruder got into a scuffle and Saif Ali Khan sustained multiple injuries. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital for treatment and then underwent hours of surgery.

His wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, issued a statement on the same day saying, “It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded. He addressed the media at the event and said, “It’s very nice to be standing here in front of you... it feels great to be here. I’m very excited about this movie.
