After Alia Bhatt mentioned that Ranbir Kapoor, her then-boyfriend and now-husband asks her to 'wipe off' her lipstick because he likes the natural colour of her lips during a video for Vogue, it led to a stir on the net. While some posts on social media asked netizens to stop overreacting to the remark, others felt there was a need to highlight such red flags. While the couple never reacted to the detest coming their way, recently, Ranbir Kapoor during an interview broke his silence over the 'wipe off lipstick' statement.

Kapoor during the interview shared that he was reading an article about him being toxic and something related to a statement he made. He observed that he is on the side of people who are fighting toxic masculinity and if they are using him as the face of it, he is fine with it since the fight is bigger for them than just him feeling bad about their opinion about his statement. The 'Animal' actor also underlined that a lot of things are written about him, a lot of which aren't necessarily true but he takes it with a pinch of salt because he believes that his image has been created by the characters he plays or by his movies or by the media and he doesn't own any of it.

An X user (formerly Twitter) posted a clip from Ranbir Kapoor's clip from the Zoom interaction. As soon as the video went up, Twitteratis started sending in love for Kapoor. A user wrote, "That's why I love this guy! Glad that he isn't on social media. Ppl would have twisted his statements to troll him."

"Nobody cares about toxic masculinity or anything in his case, they have made Ranbir as a target or red flag no matter what he does. Even if he does anything good he is taken out of context just to put him down," wrote another one.
