The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre launch was probably the biggest Indian event so far. From Hollywood to Bollywood, the Ambani family had celebrities walking carpets and putting up fashion shows one day after another.

However, Indian paparazzi calling celebrities in ‘desi’ style and some stunning performances by the celebrities were among a few highlights that we would remember in the times to come.

Indian Paps Called Celebrities In ‘Desi’ Style

When Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas walked the carpets on the second day of the NMACC launch, paparazzi called him ‘Nikwa.’ When Nick let Priyanka go ahead and get pictures clicked first, a few cameramen were heard saying, “Jija Ji sharma gaye.”

American model Gigi Hadid also attended the event. She wore a stunning golden saree from the collection of Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Some paps were referring to her “Gi-Gi.” However, a voice was heard correcting the pronunciation by saying, “It's Ji-Ji not Gi-Gi.” On the first day, they could not identify her and were heard asking each other if she was Shakira.

Tom Holland, the famous Spider-Man and an Avenger, graced the NMACC launch event too. Spide in Hindi is called makdi. It was hilarious to hear paparazzi calling him the ‘Makdi-Man.’ He was also referred to by the name of his movie Spider-Man: Homecoming, only here cameramen called him “Tom-Homecoming.”

It’s not only with people living abroad who cannot pronounce Indian names and often end up giving it a twist. Indians also do the same, but it sounds funny in the native language. When Zendaya walked for a shoot with the paps in a blue saree by Rahul Mishara, cameramen were heard calling her “Jaandayaa.” They were asking her to, “Look in this mobile,” to get her attention and click better pictures.

Another incident was captured when Vicky Kaushal came to get pictures clicked on the second day of the NMACC event. In the native culture, boys or men often refer to the girlfriend or wife of their friend as ‘Bhabhi.’ When Kaushal came in, paps asked, “Bhabhi (referring to Katrina Kaif) kidhar hain? (Where is bhabhi?)”

Cameramen also teased Aditya Roy Kapoor with Ananya Panday’s name as there is a rumour going around that the two actors might be dating.

Tagged Wrong Tom Holland

A fan account of SRK on Twitter tagged wrong Tom Holland in an image where the actor posed with SRK, Salman Khan, Zendaya and Nita Ambani. The person has responded to the tweet saying, "Please make it stop."

Amazing Performances At NMACC

A few clips from the second day are making round on social media in which Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Rashmika Mandanna were spotted performing.

Singh pulled Chopra onto the stage while the song Gallan Goodiyaan from Dil Dhadakne Do played in the background. Khan, Singh and Dhawan danced on the hook step of Jhoome Jo Pathaan from Pathaan. Khan tweaked his dialogue from the film, “Agar Amabani ke ghar party rakhoge toh mehmaannawazi ke lie Pathaan to aega he.”

Bhatt and Mandanna performed on the Oscar-winning song Naatu Naatu from RRR. Khan was also filmed during rehearsals performed on Le Gayi from Dil To Pagal Hai.
