Chiraiya Plot

The JioHotstar series 'Chiraiya' follows the story of Kamlesh, a dedicated daughter-in-law who believes she is in a progressive family led by her father-in-law, Sukumar Bhramar. The family is joined by Kamlesh's sister-in-law, Pooja, as a new bride. However, tables turn when Pooja becomes a victim of marital rape and non-consensual abuse by her husband, Arun. Kamlesh, being confused by societal norms initially, realises the gravity of abuse and decides to support Pooja. The story highlights the struggle of women caught between a seemingly progressive family and its underlying hypocrisy. The story culminates with the women breaking their silence and fighting against the patriarchal system.
