Stress, pollution, hormonal imbalance, and countless other factors these days contribute to premature greying of hair. While you can use synthetic dye or opt for other treatments, there is no better remedy than natural ingredients.
Dr Dixa Bhavsar Savaliya, Ayurvedic Expert and Co-founder of The Kadamba Tree, shared a list of natural ingredients in one of her reels on Instagram. These are associated with resolving other hair woes apart from preventing premature white hair.
Curry Leaves For Grey Hair
Curry leaves are considered the best home remedy for grey hair. They are loaded with vitamins A and C that provide nourishment to locks and keep them healthy. These leaves also strengthen strands and prevent form breakage.
You can add curry leaves to your dishes, tea recipes, or hair oil. Dr Savaliya wrote in her caption, “Curry leaves can reverse grey hair.”
Sunflower Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds, And Sesame Seeds For Grey Hair
The expert mentioned that adding pumpkin, sunflower, and sesame seeds to your diet can help you load up your body with copper, selenium, iron, zinc, and calcium. These nutrients and minerals are essential for healthy locks.
Not only these seeds will help to prevent premature greying of hair, but they also prevent hair thinning. Seeds are essential to boosting hair growth and achieving lustrous hair with minimal effort.
You can consume these seeds in smoothies, chutneys, and salads. You can also add powder of these seeds to flour or batter to improve the nutrition quotient of the dish.
Coconut For Grey Hair
Coconut is another ingredient from your kitchen that can help you tackle grey hair. Packed with protein, manganese, selenium, and potassium, it offers nourishment and strength to your locks.
You can cook food in coconut oil, apply the oil on your hair before washing, or enjoy coconut sweet and savoury dishes. Coconut water is another way of adding the ingredients to your everyday routine and keeping your body hydrated.
Hibiscus And Rose Flower For Grey Hair
Dr Savaliya mentioned in her captions that both hibiscus and rose can be consumed with tea. They add a fresh flavour and sweetness to the recipe. These ingredients are considered helpful when you are struggling with hormonal imbalance, which can lead to multiple hair woes, including premature greying and thinning of locks.
If you have hibiscus or rose flowers at home, you can sundry them or just their petals. You can store these in an airtight jar or blend them into powdered form before storing them. Add a few petals to boiling tea a couple of minutes before you are ready to strain it. You can enjoy a flavourful cup of tea that will help you combat hair problems.
