About ‘The Divorce Insurance’

‘The Divorce Insurance’ centers around a team of elite professionals in the company’s product development division who are tasked with creating this - Divorce Insurance Policy. “ ‘The Divorce Insurance’ is an office romantic comedy that follows an elite product development team at an innovative insurance company as they create an insurance policy tailored for one of modern life’s biggest crises: divorce”, according to a Soompi report.

The protagonist, Noh Ki-jun (played by Lee Dong-wook), is an insurance accountant who works in the Innovative Product Development Team. On the surface, he seems like the perfect, put-together guy, but there's more to his life than meets the eye. In reality, he has gone through three divorces and lost a significant amount of money in the settlement process. His painful experiences in divorce pushed him to create the insurance product to help others protect themselves from similar emotional and financial devastation.

The twist? While Noh Ki-jun’s role in the company involves crafting a solution for modern relationships, his personal life remains a mess, which leads to comedic yet heartfelt moments as the story unfolds.

‘The Divorce Insurance’ Lead Cast

Leading the Korean drama is Lee Dong-wook, known for his roles in popular dramas like Goblin and Touch Your Heart. As Noh Ki-jun, Lee Dong-wook perfectly balances the character's serious, professional persona with the vulnerability and humour that comes from his multiple divorces. His performance brings depth to the story, making it both comedic and touching.

Joining him is Lee Joo-bin as Kang Han-deul, an underwriter who works alongside Noh Ki-jun in the insurance company. Kang Han-deul has her own troubled past, having filed for divorce after enduring mistreatment by her in-laws. Her backstory adds a layer of complexity to her character, as she seeks both personal and professional growth while navigating the dynamics of her workplace.

Lee Kwang-soo will be seen playing the role of An Jeong-man, a longtime friend of Noh Ki-jun. Lee Da-hee will play the role of Jeon Na-rae, a finance expert.
