On Thursday, famous broadcaster Piers Morgan sat down with Fiona Harvey, the alleged real-life stalker who inspired the Netflix hit series Baby Reindeer. Directed, written, and inspired by the real-life experiences of Richard Gadd, this thriller drama is based on the true story of Donny Dunn (Richard Gadd) who was stalked and harassed by a middle-aged woman Martha Scott (Jessica Gunning). Soon after the release of the show, Fiona Harvey revealed herself to be the inspiration for the obsessive character Martha. In a recent interview, she slammed Richard Gadd and Netflix claiming they have falsely portrayed her in the show and she is adamant about filing a lawsuit.

Fiona Harvey Denies Allegations: Calls Baby Reindeer A Work Of Fiction

During the interview, Fiona Harvey slammed Netflix and the show's creator calling it “an obscene work of fiction’. “He is lying and they [Netflix] are lying. They have billed it as a true story, and so has he, and it’s not. It’s blatantly not.”

“There are two facts in that [show]. His name is Richard Gadd, and he works as a jobbing barman on benefits, in the Hawley Arms,” Harvey argued. She further denied sending excessive emails, Facebook messages, and text messages to Gadd, saying, “That's simply not true. If somebody was sending somebody 41,000 emails or something, they'd be doing how many a day? Lots," she said. "None of that's true. I don't think I sent him anything.” When Morgan grilled her about the messages and emails, she said, “I think there may have been a couple of emails exchanged, but that was it. Just jokey banter emails."

Since the show has come out, Harvey claims that she is receiving death threats and random phone calls. She said, “I find it quite obscene. I find it horrifying, and misogynistic. Some of the death threats have been terrible online. People phoned me up. You know, it’s been absolutely horrendous.”

Fiona Harvey Calls Richard Gadd 'Psychotic'

Fiona bashed Gadd saying, “I think [Richard] always wanted this to come out, I think he wanted to persecute someone to take attention away from him.”

“I think he’s psychotic. And I think that anyone going along, being in that play and doing this to somebody, I find that I find the behaviour outrageous.”
