Amid the current lockdown, everyone including the Bollywood celebrities are spending time at home. While most are blessed to be spending the time with their family and loved ones, a few are living far away from their families. One such star is Taapsee Pannu, who is currently in Mumbai, away from her parents, Dilmohan Singh Pannu, and Nirmaljeet Pannu. But, the good news is, she is with her sister Shagun Pannu at her Mumbai house.

Talking about the same to a leading newspaper, she revealed why she is happy to spend this time at home. “I really needed this time to spend with my family and refresh my energy. We work so hard to build your own house and we barely live there as we’re mostly travelling for work. I used to look forward to coming back home after work but would barely have time to relax. Now, I have so much time that I sit for hours at the favourite corners of the house,” said the actor.

Taapsee,s parents are currently residing in the national capital, which has been declared as the red zone by the government of India. Given the situation, certainly, the relatives of people who are in Delhi are worried about their well-being, especially for those who are living in or near the declared hotspots. Gladly, the 32-year-old actor’s parents are not in or near the hotspots. This made Taapsee feel relieved while living away from them.

“I’m glad that my parents aren’t living anywhere near the hotspot. They’re in their 60s and need to be slightly careful. My dad is retired and mom is a housewife. Most of the time, they stay indoors and would only go out for a walk, meet friends, or visit the Gurudwara or market place nearby. So after the lockdown, it hasn’t affected them the way it has affected us. They seem to be more worried about how we’re coping with it,” shared Taapsee.

As most people are the world are spending time lying on beds and in one corner of the house, the actor is spending time not thinking about the past, but only about the present and making the most out of it. If the situation was normal, Taapsee would have been busy with her several ongoing projects such as Haseen Dillruba, Rashmi Rocket, Loop Lapeta, and Shabaash Mithu. “I’ve never been really disconnected from reality even though life has been pretty high-flying for me but I’m not utilising this time to introspect and doing a reality check. For me, it’s all about living in the (present) moment,” she said.

Just like most of the Bollywood actors and actresses, she is focusing on her fitness. Not only Taapsee is focusing on physical health, but also her mental well-being. “I’ve downloaded a few cognitive and meditation apps, and also do reading exercises to keep myself mentally busy. Physical workout keeps going on at home, but I don’t post pictures or videos of it as I hate getting filmed during that time. I feel it’s not a pleasant sight. Even in the gym, I blur out others around me and just focus on my exercise,” said Taapsee Pannu.
