Sinha said, “Body shaming starts at home.” She remembered her mother constantly telling her to lose weight. She said she was a rebellious kid and always did the opposite of whatever she was asked of.
She also confessed that her mother realised this fact only after watching her film. She added that she does not blame mothers who ask their kids to lose weight because they might have gone through the same thing and have been conditioned to think that way.
‘Don’t Lose Weight Because Others Are Telling You To’
The interviewer asked Sinha about setting positive image standards in the Hindi film industry. The actor replied that she tried hard to ignore people talking about her weight instead of her work. She said she has always tried to project a healthy body image.
The Double XL actor added that one must lose weight to stay healthy and make it their goal. However, people should get into shaping their bodies according to the ‘so-called standards’ because someone else is asking them to do it.

Sinha made it clear in her interview that she does not promote obesity, and neither was it the motive of the film. However, she does feel that it is not right for people to point out how others look, “No matter what shape or size they are, what colour they are and what height they are, they are good enough.”
She said every human being has the right to dream and the world would be better if people act kindly towards each other.
Pressure Of Fitting In
The actor shared that she has always been chubby as a kid. She was never thin, neither in school nor in college. She remembered that other children in school used to call her names. However, she was way more confident in her skin because she used to think of things she was good at.
