Back in the early 2000s, Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan were young, in love, and the talk of the town. Kareena even went on record on Koffee with Karan to say that Shahid was the special man in her life. However, things were not to be and the two broke up. While Kareena got hitched to Saif Ali Khan and is now mum to Taimur, Shahid Kapoor married Mira Rajput and has two kids with her.

According to reports back then, the cracks between Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor had started to appear during the shooting of ‘Jab We Met’. And while the film did exceptionally well, the relationship floundered and fizzled out.

In an interaction with Cosmopolitan, the ‘Kabir Singh’ actor had said that the two had started dating within the first week of meeting each other. And while they did hit it off very soon, things were not meant to be.
