Actors Richa Chadha & Ali Fazal Awarded At Maratea Film Festival, Italy

Honouring Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal’s contributions as actors, the Maratea Film Festival in Italy has awarded them with the Outstanding International Talent Awards.

This is the first time for the couple to receive an award together that celebrates their achievements as artists. They have been spotted together on many national and international red carpets.

The couple has been sharing adorable and fun pictures from their vacation in Italy. But it looks like this vacation has more things to do added to their itinerary than just exploring the stunning landscape of the ‘Land of Caves’.

Chadha reacted and said the couple was delighted when they received the news that the festival wanted to honour them both with an award. “To know the past recipients of the award is such an honour,” she added.

The actress said she and her partner were looking forward to being among peers who share the same passion for the cinema as they have. They felt elated to be celebrating ‘everything about the movies’.

Fazal said he was honoured that the festival was celebrating his and Richa Chadha’s achievements by giving them an award. “This recognition means a lot to us as artists of the world ahead looking to bring change with our stories and actions,” he added.

He further said the couple was happy because an international platform had recognised their work and would be awarding them. He was glad that his and his partner’s work had created such an impact in different parts of the world.

The list of artists that have been honoured in the past with the award includes some renowned names like Richard Gere, Sophia Loren, John Landis and many others.

Chadha and Fazal, who are soon going to tie the knot, have done some path-breaking films and series, both nationally and internationally. They have recently ventured into the field of production with their company Pushing Buttons Studios.

Chadha started her career with Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! And earned a Filmfare award for her supporting role in Gangs of Wasseypur. She was last seen in Shakeela released in December 2020. Currently, she is busy shooting Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi.

Fazal started his career with his cameo appearance in Aamir Khan starring 3 Idiots. Since then, he has acted in many Hindi films and international movies. He is known for his role in the Amazon Prime series Mirzapur. He played Guddu Pandit. He was last seen sharing the screen with Wonder Woman Gal Gadot in Death On The Nile, released in theatres in 2022. He will be next seen in Fukrey 3 and season 3 of Mirzapur.
