As people from across the country supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Janta Curfew by coming out in their balconies, clapping and cheering while also maintaining social distance, there were a few who were found gathering on the streets and celebrating. This was just a small appreciative gesture by fellow citizens towards the doctors and all other people, who are working during the pandemic of coronavirus. Unfortunately, many didn’t understand the message being given by doctors that says, “We’re staying at work for you, you stay at home for us.” Along with other Indians, a few celebrities also criticised people who broke Janta Curfew, an effort to combat coronavirus.
Richa Chadda, the actress known for voicing her opinions fearlessly and raising awareness for several social causes, took to her Twitter handle to call out those who went completely against the concept of social distancing. Sharing a video which shows around 30 people, reportedly from Mumbai dancing and celebrating, the 33-year-old actress said, “Stupid level max. This is the opposite of a #jantacurfew.” As per the post she shared, people were celebrating “the demise of coronavirus by coming out on the street in groups”

The ex-Bigg Boss contestant wrote alongside the video, “Killed the purpose! Seriously.” There were many who commented on Gauahar’s post, supporting her. While many shared memes, another Twitterati wrote, “I felt so so proud at 5 pm yesterday!!It was a magical moment, the way everyone united but this morning when I saw videos of people dancing, playing drums, gathering on roads in a group as if it’s Ganesh visarjan or India won World CupThumbs downtrust me I felt ashamed.
