Rashmika Mandanna And Amitabh Bachchan Starrer ‘Goodbye’ To Hit Theatres In October

Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Production released the first look of the upcoming Hindi film ‘Goodbye’ starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rashmika Mandanna, among others.

The first look of the upcoming Hindi film ‘Goodbye’ starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead, was released on Saturday. The film will have a theatrical release on October 7.

Produced by Ekta Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures, the upcoming film is co-produced and directed by filmmaker Vikas Bahl’s production Good Co. The makers took to social media to share the first look and make the announcement.

“Get ready to experience a heart-warming story about life, family and relationships!

#GoodBye releasing on 7th October, 2022 in the cinemas near you!” wrote Balaji Motion Pictures.

The plot of the upcoming film is a heart-warming story about life, family and relationships filled with emotions of laughter, warmth and tears. The film further features veteran actor Neena Gupta, actors Pavail Gulati, Sahil Mehta and Sunil Grover, and Swedish actor Elli AvrRam in pivotal roles.

‘Goodbye’ marks the debut of Mandanna in the Hindi film industry who primarily works in the Telugu, Tamil and Kannada film industries. The actor, who is currently one of the highest paid South Indian actors, debuted with the 2016 Kannada film Kirik Party. She went on to act in several South Indian films including Chamak, Devadas, Bheeshma, and rose to fame across the country with Vijay Deverakonda starrer 2019 Telugu film Dear Comrade and the Allu Arjun starrer 2021 Telugu film Pushpa: The Rise.

Regarding the announcement, Mandanna wrote, “finally get to say this. My Hindi debut film - GOODBYE! with @SrBachchan sir @Neenagupta001 ma’am #VikasBahl and a maaaaaad cool cast @pavailkgulati #SahilMehta #abhishek and so many such amazing actors and technicians .. Is releasing on October 7-2022. Fully excited! I can’t wait for you all to watch it.. I hope you guys like the film. Again another debut.. Let’s see how this journey goes..”

In the previous month, the actor had taken to social media to post pictures from the sets following the film’s wrap-up. Bidding goodbyes to the crew, she wrote, “Hate to say goodbye to my baby ‘Goodbye’.. But guys it’s a wrap for me for Goodbye! It’s been 2 years since we began this journey amidst covid waves and everything (it was literally like the vows- through sickness and in health) but nothing could stop us from partying our way through it all and now I can’t wait for you guys to see what Goodbye is really all about.. This is going to be funnnnnnn! Get ready to do some serious laughing! Everyone you see here.. Everyone I’ve worked with in this team will always and forever be super special to me..”

She further mentioned how “glad and grateful” she was to work with senior Bachchan and wrote, “you are the world’s bestest man ever.” To Bahl, she said, “god knows what made you believe in me to make me a part of such a special film, I just hope I’ve made you feel proud so far” and also thanked Neena Gupta.
