The first glimpse of Ram Setu, the upcoming Hindi action-adventure film starring Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nushrratt Bharuccha, and Satya Dev, is finally here. The film is all set to release in theatres this Diwali on October 25, 2022.

The one-minute and 47 seconds video teaser of Ram Setu promises to be an action-packed entertainer. Directed by Abhishek Sharma, the film follows an atheist-archaeologist-turned-believer, who must race against time to prove the true existence of the legendary Ram Setu, also known in English as Adam's Bridge, before evil forces destroy this pillar of India’s heritage.
The film was first announced in November 2020 and the film went on floors at the end of March 2021. However, the shooting was disrupted and delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic-induced lockdown and it finally wrapped up in January 2022. The film has been shot in Ooty, Daman and Diu, and Mumbai. According to Ramayana, Ram Setu is the bridge built by Lord Rama’s allies, the Vanara army of Vanara (monkey army) to reach Lanka (Sri Lanka) to rescue his wife Sita, who was abducted by Lanka's Rakshasa king Ravana.
Dspite back-to-back poor performances at the box office by Kumar’s films including Samrat Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan, and Bachchan Pandey, there is much hype around the film. “Omg, it's gonna be a huge epic movie. Can't wait to catch this movie on diwali 25th of oct #RamSetu” wrote one user.
