Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently visited Lakshadweep Island, the smallest Union territory of India and tried snorkelling. He took to social media to share beautiful pictures of incredible underwater life like corals and fish.
What Is Snorkelling?
Snorkelling is an underwater adventure sport where you get to swim near the water’s surface with the use of a mask and a breathing tube, called a snorkel. The snorkelers get an opportunity to dive into the panoramic underwater views from above.

68-year-old PM Narendra Modi attempted Snorkelling and shared photos of corals and fish on his social media. He had a wonderful experience at the place. He further added that Lakshadweep is one of the most wonderful and must-visit places for adventure lovers. Those who are seeking adventure should add this place to their bucket list.

PM Modi shared that the serene environment of the place has allowed him to reflect on how to work harder for the welfare of 140 crore Indians. He has shared the images of his morning walks as well along the pristine beaches of Lakshadweep.
"Recently, I had the opportunity to be among the people of Lakshadweep. I am still in awe of the stunning beauty of its islands and the incredible warmth of its people. I had the opportunity to interact with people in Agatti, Bangaram, and Kavaratti. I thank the people of the islands for their hospitality. Here are some glimpses, including aerial glimpses from Lakshadweep," he said in a post sharing various photos from the visit.
